Behind Little Sleepy Raccoon

Hi, I’m Małgorzata — the maker and designer behind Little Sleepy Raccoon.
I create crochet patterns for soft, cuddly friends, designed to become something truly special in your hands.

From corporate life to crochet 

For many years, my everyday life looked completely different. I worked in the corporate world, surrounded by deadlines, meetings and the constant rush of a busy schedule. Crochet was my creative escape — a quiet moment for myself and a way to make something with my own hands.

Then I became a mom, and a lot changed. I started looking differently at my time and at the kind of everyday life I wanted for myself and my family.

I wanted to be closer to home, to have more freedom and, at the same time, to do something that was truly mine.

So I left my corporate career and decided to turn my passion into my way of life.

 From Etsy to a home of its own 

For the past four years, I’ve been sharing my crochet patterns with makers from all around the world through my Etsy shop. Over those years, my little collection has grown into a whole family of snugglers, loveys, pajama bags and cuddly crochet characters.

And now, Little Sleepy Raccoon has a home of its own.

This website is the next chapter of my story — a place where I can bring all my designs together, share new ideas and continue creating the little world that began with a crochet hook, some yarn and a love of making.

Every character still begins with me — an idea, plenty of experimenting, a little unraveling and trying again, until it becomes a finished toy and a pattern you can bring to life with your own hands.
